Computerbank's Plone Website
Memory Leak:
This site still has a memory leak problem. Plone community member Roman Joost (in au on a one year work visa) has written a script to restart the instance daily to help keep the leak within acceptable levels. Roman is also investigating the problem. Thanks Roman.
User Privileges:Some users were having access problems this has been corrected.
Documentation
Plone content: In the last few weeks Bill Boledziuk has speedily copied 6 years
worth of Computerbank Committee minutes over to Plone. Excellent work -
thanks very much Bill. We now have all our minutes on this site.
Also our Supporters page has been updated by Kyle.
General: The Application Form for clients has been revised. New Sales tickets added.
Chinese translation of our flyer - thanks Patrick. Translation emailed to nine 9 community groups.
Glom Database
Great News: Patrick has trialled importing the data from our Rhadam database into Glom and it worked. This means our new database will contain all our old records as well.
We tested the speed on search with all the records in Glom and it is satisfactory at approx 5 seconds. This can be further improved with a faster box and more memory. Earlier tests on an older pc were unacceptably slow at 11 seconds to search a record.
We conducted some usability sessions and are now customising the user interface.
