Website, Database and Marketing Report September 2009
Computerbank's Plone website http://computerbank.org.au/
Apart from backups and routine page updates there was one issue reported. On investigation the issue turned out to between the keyboard and the computer and not a Plone issue at all.
Gaiden
Much praise and two minor issues reported with our new Glom client database. Cbv numbers now have a comma in them. And someone has complained that the money shows as $AUD rather than just a $ sign. These issues have been entered into our Issue Tracker.
Marketing
Mary McKillop Support Services recently put out a flyer on low cost computers. Computerbank is listed first on this flyer. Following this we have seen an increase of demand for our computers. Currently we can't build enough computers to fulfill demand so we haven't done any extra publicity.
Changing over to the new distro meant changing all the pcs in the shop. Always a time consuming task. In addition changing over to volunteer builders rather than Work For Dole builders resulted in less computers being built. We could do with more build room volunteers on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
