Minutes
Present: Kylie Davies, David Totterdell, Patricia Fraser, Daniel Morriss, Bill McPherson, Nigel Waddington, Crucis Jimenez, Peter Eckersley, Tim Price, Rodney Brown Apologies: none submitted
Bill moved that the meeting accept the minutes of the previous meeting, seconded by Rodney, carried.

Kylie recapped the amendments to the CBv constitution as suggested by Clayton utz, explaining again that our original application for incorporation had been refused on the grounds that the rules were missing on the subject of (a) entrance fees and b) members right to view all documents and records.

Tim moved to accepot the amendments as presented, seconded Daniel. Carried unanimously.

Kylie brought up the matter of the 35 Pentiums which have been donated and asked for discussion on what should be done with them. A technical mailing list is to be set up to help co-ordinate the technical aspects of the pilot project including systems to be used. More and larger hard drives are required; Patricia is to contact Agate to find out whether donations of hard drives can be canvassed. Memory is another requirement. Without these components the Pentiums may not be used to their capacity.

The meeting discussed the real need for secure premises; Patricia will call storage companies to ask whether they will donate us some space for a time. It was noted that once CBV is incorporated, we can put in submissions to Multimedia for funding which could cover rental.

Daniel will do a stocktake on our existing HDDs by Sunday 17th.

Patricia is to write tutorial manuals for the base system install; only awaiting installed system to use while writing. Patricia is also to find out about the conditions for licensing and distribution of StarOffice 5.1 since the recent Sun takeover of Star Division.
