Computerbank computers in Zapotillo, Ecuador
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Computerbank and people involved in nabuur.com, thirty two computers have arrived in Zapotillo.
The idea to help Zapotillo villagers, came from one of the villages on nabuur.com. Nabuur.com is an innovative global volunteer project assisting developing communities across the world.

The computers Computerbank provided have a customised lean Knoppix/Debian distribution with an extensive range of open source software including KDE, OpenOffice, The GIMP. Firefox Web Browser, Ktouch Typing Tutor, GNU Cash (among other things), and includes custom scripts for easy maintenance.
